Urs Brunner is a Swiss national who first came to Thailand as part of a student exchange program with University of Zurich. He spent 1 year in Thailand conducting research for his Masters thesis on Thai Security policy after the Vietnam War. In addition Mr. Brunner spent one year in Egypt studying Middle-Eastern History and Arabic language.

Shortly after his studies, he began his career in Zurich, Switzerland with Nomura Bank Switzerland as a securities broker and financial analyst. After leaving Nomura Bank he relocated to Bangkok eventually setting up the Boncafe (Thailand) group of companies. Mr. Brunner expanded the Boncafe business and eventually moved into multiple countries throughout SE Asia and the Middle East with his SE Asian Headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand and his Middle Eastern operations based in Dubai, UAE. Currently Boncafe is one of the premier coffee brands throughout Asia.

Mr. Brunner has always had a great interest in the Arts and received his undergraduate degree in European Literature. His first feature film, Bitter/Sweet was produced and financed by Mr. Brunner in 2008 and starred James Brolin, Kip Pardue, and some of Thailand’s top actors and actresses. He went on to act as the Executive Producer of Shadows, starring William Hurt and Carey Elwes, which completed principal photography in 2009.

Angel and Bear Productions currently holds offices in Bangkok and Los Angeles and has a number of projects in development across all mediums of entertainment including Feature Films, TV and publishing.
